Value

When you belittle or ignore something that is important to someone, you devalue them as a person. If you have ever had a small toddler request a moment of your busy day to look at the little picture that they have drawn, then you should understand this concept. Disregard it, and you break their spirit, making them feel their time is not important, their accomplishment isn’t worthwhile, and what they are are excited about doesn’t matter to us. We don’t all like the same things, do things the same way, or prioritize the investment of our time in activities the same way. Respect each other’s differences. Be kind and considerate even if you are not in agreement. God gave us all different personalities, abilities, and interests because He knows that’s what makes life interesting!
